" Wouldn't you like to see one of these players..when they disrespect our flag to get that son of a b.... off the field...you're fired!"

Never before have football fans seen anything like the NFL "kneeling controversy" displayed on Sunday and Monday. Owners. Players. Coaches either kneeled during the national anthem, locked arms or didn't leave the locker rooms for the anthem at all. But what were the real reason behind this sudden movement?

It took President Donald Trump to call football players SOBS at a rally In Alabama for the NFL to come together as one. But where was this solidarity last year When Colin Kaepernick took his knee? Credit to players like Philadephia Eagles Safety Malcolm Jenkins, Denver Broncos Linebacker Brandon Marshall, the Bennett brothers, and Eagles DL Chris Long, that have always shown support for Kaepernick and the cause. So this goes out to those old stuffy rich NFL owners. Except for you Arthur Blank.

All of this talk about protests, 45, and the national anthem and are taking away from the reason why these black players were kneeling in the first place. None of this protesting is about disrespecting the american flag, or a national anthem. It shouldn't even be about Trumps comments. This isn't the worst thing President Trump has said in anyway possible ask Haiti.

But this question remains to be unanswered. Why didn't condemn Trump when 2 years ago as he goes down the mall escalator he calls Mexicans killers and rapists? Or why these NFL owners didn't turn their back on Trump after his "Both Sides" fiasco after the happenings in Charlottesville, Virginia?

It is very interesting that Jacksonville Jaguar's owner Shahid Khan took a knee with his team Sunday in London, as he donated $1 million dollars to Trumps inauguration. How about Dallas Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones, who also donated to President Trump. He took a knee with his team prior to the national anthem on Monday football. He actually told his team to stand for the anthem, which is why not one player from the Cowboys actually knelt during the anthem.

Fox Sports 1's Rob Parker said on Undisputed the next morning, "I was embarrassed for the black players who took part in a fake protest that was all about Jerry Jones. Jerry is the one who could go back to his country club and win the bet that his players were kept in line" while I don't believe that is in Jerry Jones character, I do know that these NFL owners are not so upset at President Trump for his SOB comments, it is because these old rich NFL owners do not like to be told what to do and especially be told what to do with their money. Rich folk never wanna be told what to do with their money..

Since the momonunteal Sunday there has been a whole lot of walking back from players like Ben Roetghburger; who regrets staying in the locker room during the national anthem Sunday. Fox's Undisputed host Shannon Sharpe articulated " what we are starting to see is what they thought would be a good gesture, uniting against president trump because he called some of them players SOBs and he was challenging the billionaires authority...but when they got the boos now everybody's trynna walk it back.."

So please don't get distracted by all this protests and national anthem talk. Don't forget about the real issues that Colin Kaepernick took a knee for.
